# Thermus request logs and workspace attribution

Updated: 2026-10-16

Tool completion records use the authenticated user and workspace from the connection. These are operator logs. Hosted free early access does not provide customer audit-log access or export.

## What is recorded?

A dispatched tool call records its tool name, authenticated subject, workspace identifier, result status, and duration. The record includes a bounded URL without its query string or fragment and a valid bounded reason. The reason is recorded, not scored. The following shows selected illustrative fields, not the full log schema:

```json
{
  "event": "mcp.tool.completed",
  "subject": "user_example",
  "tenantId": "org_example",
  "tool": "getURLAsMarkdown",
  "url": "https://docs.example.com/setup",
  "reason": "find setup steps for a customer",
  "status": "success"
}
```

## What the records can establish

Operators can use these records to check which authenticated subject and workspace a tool call used and whether it succeeded, failed, or met a capacity limit. The record does not establish which person created an agent or whether someone else ran it. The client does not supply a trusted agent name.

A request refused before tool dispatch, such as a request with an invalid token, has no tool completion record. Do not assume that these records cover every request or form a customer-accessible audit trail. Log collection and retention depend on the deployment; this offer includes no customer SIEM or OTLP export setup.

## Coverage and data handling

Only requests routed through Thermus appear in these gateway logs. An absent Thermus log alone cannot prove that a bypass was blocked; use destination-side or platform evidence as well.

The published product information does not specify audit retention duration, residency, compliance certifications, a complete event schema or an uptime SLA. Ask the Thermus team for those details. This document describes product operator logs; website guide-request analytics are a separate feature.
